Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Caldwell Psychic collects when you book or contact us, how those details are used, and how to ask for a copy, a correction or deletion.
Who we are and how to reach us
Caldwell Psychic is the trading name of Caldwell Psychic Consultations, a single-practitioner reading room at 97 Roseland Ave, Door 101, Caldwell, NJ 07006, in Essex County. Sophie handles enquiries herself. You can reach us by phone on (862) 273-9586 or by email at PsychicConsultations@icloud.com, and either method is enough to raise a privacy question.
This policy covers this website and the messages you send through it. It does not cover other websites you reach from our links, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, each of which has its own policy.

What the booking and contact forms collect
The booking request form and the contact form ask for the details needed to arrange a session and reply to you: your name, your email address, your phone number, the reading you would like, the times that suit you, your message, and a confirmation that you are 18 or older. Nothing else is required.
Two things to keep in mind when you fill a form in:
- Only what you type is collected. We do not buy lists or add you to anything you did not ask for.
- Leave sensitive details out of the box. Please do not type health information, financial account numbers, passwords or government ID numbers into a website form. None of that is needed to book a reading, and what you want to discuss can wait for the session itself.
If you would rather not use a form at all, you can book a reading by phone or email instead.
How we use what you send
Your details are used for one purpose: replying to you and arranging your reading. That means confirming the time, telling you whether it is in person, by phone or by video, sending parking directions for in-person sessions, and answering follow-up questions about a booking.
We also keep a short record of bookings so we can settle any question about a session or a deposit. We do not use your details for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Email delivery and the copy stored in the site's admin
When you submit a form, two things happen. The form plugin sends a notification email to the business inbox through the website's mail service, so the message reaches Sophie. The plugin also saves a copy of the submission in the WordPress admin area of this site, so a message is not lost if an email fails to arrive.
Access to the WordPress admin area is limited to the site owner and the agency that maintains the site. The mail service and the web host process your message only to deliver and store it for us, not for their own purposes.
Cookies and third-party content
This site uses functional cookies set by WordPress and the Elementor page builder. They keep the site working properly, remember a signed-in administrator, and support basic security. They are not used to track you around the internet.
The contact page includes an embedded Google Map so you can find 97 Roseland Ave. Loading that map means loading content from Google, and Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address when it does. If you prefer not to load it, the address and directions are written out on the page in plain text too.
At launch there are no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags and no analytics tracking on this site. If analytics is added later, this policy will be updated to say what is measured before the tracking goes live.
We do not sell your information
Caldwell Psychic does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Your details are shared only in these situations:
- Service providers. The web host, the site's mail service and the agency that maintains the site can see form submissions in the course of keeping the site running.
- Payment at the session. Payment is taken in person at the session, so the payment provider handles that transaction directly under its own terms.
- Where the law requires it. If a valid legal request compels disclosure, we comply with it.
What you discuss during a reading stays between you and Sophie. It is not written up, published, posted or repeated to anyone else.
How long we keep things and how we protect them
Form submissions and booking emails are kept only as long as they are useful for arranging sessions and settling questions, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep a record for a legal or accounting reason.
The site is served over HTTPS, admin access is limited to the people who need it, and accounts are protected by passwords that are not shared. No website can promise perfect security, but these are the reasonable safeguards we maintain.
Age: this site is for adults
Readings are for adults. You must be 18 or older to book, and the booking form asks you to confirm that. This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If you believe a child has sent us their details, call (862) 273-9586 or email PsychicConsultations@icloud.com and we will delete the record.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, send you a copy, correct something that is wrong, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. There is no form to fill in and no charge.
Email PsychicConsultations@icloud.com or call (862) 273-9586, tell us what you want, and give us enough detail to find your record, such as the name, email address or phone number you booked with. We aim to reply within 30 days. If we cannot do what you asked, we will explain why.
New Jersey Data Privacy Act
The New Jersey Data Privacy Act took effect on January 15, 2025 and gives New Jersey residents rights over their personal data, including access, correction, deletion, portability and opting out of the sale of personal data. It applies to businesses that handle personal data for very large numbers of New Jersey residents, or that earn revenue from selling personal data.
A single reading room that answers booking requests is very unlikely to meet those thresholds, so the Act probably does not apply to Caldwell Psychic. We treat that as a technicality rather than a reason to say no: if you make a reasonable request of the kind listed above, we will honour it regardless.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes, such as adding analytics or a new booking system, will be described in the relevant section rather than slipped in quietly.
