The Caldwells and western Essex County
The nine towns closest to the reading room sit west of the Watchung ridge and reach Roseland Avenue in under fifteen minutes. The Oranges, Maplewood, South Orange and Millburn

Both look close on a map, but the direct route through Bloomfield and Montclair is all local roads, and the I-280 alternative nearly doubles the mileage. Earlier copy claiming fifteen minutes from either town was simply wrong, and it is corrected on their town pages.
