These terms explain what a session with Sophie is, what it is not, and the simple rules that apply when you book a reading or use this website.
What these terms cover
These terms apply when you book or attend a session with Caldwell Psychic Consultations, trading as Caldwell Psychic, at 97 Roseland Ave, Door 101, Caldwell, NJ 07006, and when you use this website. Booking a session or using the site means you accept them.
Read them alongside the privacy policy, which covers your details, and the refund policy, which covers deposits, rescheduling and returns.

The nature of the services
Readings, energy work and ritual work at Caldwell Psychic are offered for spiritual guidance and personal reflection. A session is a space to think about a situation with someone else's perspective in the room, not a prediction of a fixed future and not a statement of fact about anyone else's intentions.
Sessions are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and nothing said in a session should be treated as such advice. If you are dealing with a health concern, a legal matter or a money decision, speak to a qualified professional about it. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which is free, confidential and open around the clock.
You must be 18 or older
Sessions and this website are for adults. You must be 18 or older to book a reading, to attend one, or to buy anything from the shop. The booking request form asks you to confirm your age, and Sophie may decline a session if that confirmation turns out to be untrue.
If you are booking on behalf of another adult, that person still needs to attend and consent themselves. We do not read for someone who has not asked for a reading.
Outcomes, timing and your free will
No specific outcome, result or timing is promised. Readings describe what Sophie perceives at the time of the session, and life keeps moving after you leave the room. Different readers, different days and different questions can produce different impressions.
You keep your free will throughout. Nothing in a session obliges you to act, and no session can decide anything on your behalf.
Your decisions are yours
You are responsible for the choices you make after a session. Sophie offers guidance and reflection; what you do with it, including any decision about a relationship, a job, a move, your health, your money or a legal matter, is your own call.
Please do not ask for a reading that depends on someone else acting a certain way, and please do not present anything from a session as evidence in a dispute. That is not what these sessions are for.
Booking, payment and deposits
Bookings are made by phone on (862) 273-9586, by email at PsychicConsultations@icloud.com, or through the request form on the book online page. A booking is confirmed once Sophie has replied with a time, not when you send the request.
Payment is taken at the session rather than when you book. Candle work and aura work are the exception: both require a deposit before the session is scheduled, because materials are prepared and time is set aside in advance. Ask for the deposit amount when you book. Prices shown on the services and pricing page apply at the time of booking and may change for future bookings.
Conduct and the right to end a session
Sessions run best when both people are present and settled. Please arrive on time, arrive sober, and stay off the phone during the session. Recording a session is only allowed if you ask first and Sophie agrees.
Sophie may end a session early, without a refund, if you are abusive, intoxicated, threatening, recording without consent, or if the session is being used to pressure or investigate a third party. She may also decline to read on a subject she does not feel is appropriate, and may suggest a different reading or a referral instead. If a session is ended for any other reason, the refund policy applies.
This website and its content
The text, page design, photographs and other content on this site belong to Caldwell Psychic Consultations or are used with permission, and they are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use.
You may not copy the content onto another website, reuse it in marketing, or present it as your own. If you want to quote a passage or link to a page, a short quote with a link back is fine and welcome.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including our social media profiles, the reference sources cited on some pages, and an embedded map on the contact page. Those sites are run by other people.
We link to them because they were useful when the page was written, not as an endorsement of everything on them. Once you follow a link, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply, and we are not responsible for its content or availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Caldwell Psychic Consultations is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from a session, from the use of this website, or from any decision you make after a session. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the session in question.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for deliberate misconduct, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited under New Jersey law. Nothing here affects your rights under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.
New Jersey law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them or from a session will be handled by the state or federal courts serving Essex County, New Jersey.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes and how to reach us
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one posted here, with the date shown above, and using the site or booking a session after a change means the updated terms apply.
